CMI Utility Billing Software has the capability to bill for Water, Sewer, Refuse, Electric, Gas and more. In addition, it can handle unlimited Miscellaneous Billings to customers independent of their utility account. The system incorporates a flexible account number structure that permits a complete owner/tenant tracking. Service Orders, Deposit Tracking, Letter Integration to Microsoft Word, and a full Meter Inventory with Meter Change-Out capabilities are standard features on the system. Multiple meter handling (Dual, Submeter, Consolidated) is also built in. A wide variety of bill formats are available including Postcard, Statements, Outsourced Bill Printing and Email Bills. There are flexible Estimating, Pro-rating and Level Billing options as well. Other standard features include Invoice Correction, Bill Reprint, Delinquency Tracking and Write-off capability.

More and more people today appreciate the ability to view information for a variety of personal accounts via secure internet access. Now, thanks to the latest CMI Hosted Utility Connect, utility department customers can access their account information as well as pay their bills on-line.

This enhancement module to the CMI Utility Application utilizes the Utility Billing backend database information to securely display account information to the customer for review and payments through a secure transaction process. Customers like it, and Utility Departments are fi nding that having it available is saving them time within their office because data entry is reduced and telephone inquiries from customers regarding their accounts have dropped significantly.

CMI Remittance Processing

CMI Remittance Processing is the automation of the accounts receivable data entry process.  Through the use of scanning equipment and software, the system scans both the checks and the invoice stubs for electronic presentation and for eventual paper elimination.  After scanning, the system compares collected data to balance the system and eliminate potential reading errors.  This software can facilitate a 60+% labor savings to the AR entry process.
